Castle Rock State Park Taste of Gravel South Short Route 10:00 AM This route has approximately 12 miles of gravel. Gravel routes are not intended or safe to be ridden on a road bike. A hybrid, gravel or trail bike which have wider tires than a road bike is recommended. There are no locations to purchase food or drink along the route. Bring your own snacks and plenty of water. The pace will be leisurely at 10-15 mph with breaks as needed. No one will be left behind. After the ride we can stop at either the Ogle County Brewery or Hairy Cow Brewery for food and drink. 19 Mile Short Route
