Hi,
Join us for an early season 32 mile ride starting in New Glarus on Thursday April 13th. The ride starts at 11am from the Sugar River Trail parking lot on Railroad St in New Glarus, Wisconsin. That day they are calling for a high of 76 and sunny skies. Winds are 10 to 20 SSW but once we get into the hills that won’t matter much.
I modified my old route that used to go west into Blanchardville for a break and instead turn left when we get to Gould Hill Rd. This eliminates the rest stop in Blanchardville so keep that in mind (Hint 2 water bottles). There are 6 climbs on the route for a total of 1,776ft of climbing. Which doesn’t seem much until you look at the Blackhawk Country Roads 64 mile route which has 2,273ft of climbing and is noted for its hilly terrain. After the ride we can go eat at the Sugar River Pizza Company. Dutch treat.
